P.E.

In the Foundation Stage, Physical Development is a key strand of the children’s development. As well as the opportunities for them in the early years setting, Reception have a PE lesson with their class teacher.

Through Key Stage 1 and 2, children receive PE lessons from a number of outside coaches and specialists, these include:

  • Cricket
  • Gym and Dance
  • Games (rugby, basketball, tennis)
  • Swimming (for pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6)

The P.E. curriculum is carefully designed so that children have the opportunity to experience all aspects of the National Curriculum requirements: gymnastics, dance, athletics, games and swimming. Outdoor and adventurous activities are delivered through an annual Year 5 trip to HOAC and Year 6 school journey. At the bottom of this page you wil find our PE curriculum overview for 2023/24
